Teaching and Learning

Teaching and Learning

Our Senior School provides a dynamic and supportive learning environment, fostering academic excellence and personal growth. We pride ourselves on offering a diverse and comprehensive curriculum that caters to a wide range of interests and passions. With over 40 subjects available at HSC level, students can explore various fields and discover their strengths. Our curriculum is designed to foster academic excellence, creativity, and critical thinking, preparing students for success in their chosen pathways.

To support different academic pathways, we offer two HSC patterns of study.
Our HSC plus ATAR program is designed for tertiary-bound students, while our HSC plus Vocational program provides a pathway for those pursuing apprenticeships, TAFE, or tertiary education that lead to a wide range of credentials. Additionally, we provide dual-accredited Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses in Construction, Entertainment, Hospitality.

The College also provides opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience and nationally recognised qualifications through School-based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SBATs).

Our students can choose from a range of elective subjects in Years 9-10 and 11-12, allowing them to explore their interests, develop new skills, and shape their academic pathway.

Our Enrichment Program provides additional opportunities for growth, including acceleration and participation in specialised programs such as the da Vinci Decathlon and Future Problem-Solvers.
For students with diverse learning needs, our dedicated Learning Support Department offers tailored assistance and support.

Teaching and Learning Framework

Our Teaching and Learning Framework is intentionally designed to work in harmony with the College's Wellbeing Framework, fostering a whole-child approach to education. It builds on our established culture of deep learning by embedding Michael Fullan’s 6 Global Competencies - Character, Creativity, Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, and Citizenship - at the heart of teaching and learning. This integrated model empowers students to develop the skills, mindsets, and values they need to thrive in a rapidly changing, interconnected world.
